The End? Don't Bet On It
The End? Don't Bet On It
Well, we finally made it, everyone. The end of core development on Memento Mactāre. It's been a long and wild ride since late January when we started, but of course, designing started even earlier with the Project Proposal last semester. Back then I was under the impression I'd be working on this with a real teammate, but of course it wasn't meant to be and in the break before development started, they left in order to join another team and it became necessary for me to adapt the Proposal to fit what was and wasn't feasible for me to develop by myself and without coding skills.
Humble beginnings.
In the end, it was a complicated and stressful time, but honestly pretty fun. If I had more time and proper help, I would probably say I truly enjoyed this semester.
Which is why, despite the game being fully complete and released this week, I would like to continue updating and supporting Memento Mactāre for a while to come, in order to fix any bugs or improve upon the vision for the game.
I don't know how this will be viable without the ability to code, but I'll figure something out. Overall, the process of creating an idea that is uniquely my own using strong theming and following it through all the way to an entire game experience was a lot more exciting than I would have imagined, as well as gratifying.
The glow-up?
With that said, these weekly devlogs will come to an end in order to be examined for marking, and will be followed by intermittent blogs on any future updates made to the game. Thank you all from me, Russool Mishir, for joining me on this journey, it was pretty fun.
