This week was when I started practicing certain code bits for the game, beginning with the core mechanic of the numbers appearing and then disappearing.
On the right is a video showcasing the extremely early and barebones prototyping we created that contains the mechanic. Note the console displaying whether or not an input is correct.
Additionally, it also has the function of being able to change the letters in the sequence, as well as how long a player has to memorise it.
On top of this, I have also been experiementing with ideas for the background art for each room inside the game, and I have decided to share an early look at one of those drafts in this week's log, that being the dining hall area that will be the second room of the game, where the player will have more of an opportunity to practice the mechanics.
