Preparing the Opening
Preparing the Opening
During this week, we started thinking about other necessary elements to complete the game experience besides mechanics, one of which was the main menu, as well as game logo as part of our branding.
While the full art and other aspects of the menu will come later, a large part of this week was dedicated solely to designing animation for the logo.
In addition to this, we also engaged in a few more tests, even at weddings, as pictured to the left, surrounding the current state of the game, with every room being playable. We got some decent feedback from this too, based on how far we are into development as well as how feasible some of the feedback was to listen to.
One of the things we heard was about the clunkiness of the UI, as we focused on mechanical functionality first, however we had always planned to fix that up once we got everything working, so we will work on that next week. Besides this, people generally like the idea of the game, as well as how it plays.
The difficulty was praised, which is great for us to hear, as that was something we strived to ensure was balanced correctly, and some playtesters told us that they believed our game would stand out as being unique, which was similarly reassuring, as having our own distinct The Mishir Corporation spin on something you think you've seen before is the kind of thing we aim for when making our products.
Next week is the final week before Easter, so it will be a lighter one when it comes to development as well as updates, but we hope you check out our uploads regardless, and continue to be patient as the game draws near completion. From everyone here at The Mishir Corporation, thank you all for sticking with us so far!
